  • How or why could it be too old? 40 isn't old at all unless you are in your 20's.

You do what you can when you can do it. I bought my first house at 25. My mom bought her first house at 62. Different people, different times.

  • I dont think any age is to old to buy a home if it is something that you can afford and something that you want to do, then go for and love every min of it.

  • Nope...I say congrats on your first home! So many more people rent now then before. Its just more dont have to pay for all the repairs and so many other husband is in the army and we do not plan on getting a house untill he retires...and he will be 42 then ill be no that is not to if you were 60-70 getting your first home then i would think thats a little odd...but thats just me lol

  • I don't think you are ever too old to own a home for the first time. As long as it is something you can afford, and can maintain, i say go for it!

  • No, of course not. It's not like you (generic you) are going to get any younger.

If you have the money, now is a good time in most areas to buy a house, regardless of your age. :)
