My daughter is 6 1/2 months old. Is it too soon to give her baby fruit juice?

She's been doing well on solids like puree sweet potatoes, peas, carrots and rice cereal.

  • If you have given her pears or apples already, you can start with that juice ( i would just water it down a little to dilute the sugar content).

  • Fruit juice is merely sugar...if you give it brush her teeth/gums well.

  • I gave my son juice when he was about three months to get his bowels moving, but it was really diluted.

  • My twin boys got bronchitis at this age which is easy to get when you have asthma but they told us to give them pedialyte for so long and then watered down apple juice. If it's not watered down the acidic in it can cause a really bad diaper rash I learned that real quick when they were younger. But sure they need juice just not all the acidic in it.

  • She is at the right age age to try juices. However, you have to make sure you are not giving her too much sugar.  So try to water down as much as possible.
