What are the myths about ginger-haired people and are they true?

  • it's not aka redheads. there is a difference. a real redhead has natural dark red hair, relatively pale skin that isn't sensitive and doesn't freckle. gingers have more thick, kind of course orange hair, have very sensitive skin that burns easily, and are prone to freckles

  • The term "ginger" was a South Park episode that has somehow made it into the vernacular. I know some "fiery" redheads. I also know some "fiery" brunettes. Don't know!

    They've been saying "ginger" in the UK for decades well before Southpark. Maybe thats what made it popular in the USA.
