Biting toothbrush...

My 2 year old looks forward to 'brushing' his teeth. I usually go and brush them myself after he's done (he chews on it more than anything) but he thinks it is funny just to bite down. Any tricks to getting him to keep his mouth open?

  • Both my girls did that. I just show them how I brush my teeth and try to encourage them to copy me. They did stop and know brush there teeth.

  • I just let my daughter continue watching me brush mine. She likes to mock what I do, so that's why we brushed together. Seemed to work great with her. At 2 years old she was brushing by herself and spitting, etc.

  • I just keep telling him to open wide..its repetitive, but he will get it sooner or later.
