why am i so thirsty?

ok im hungry...but, i dont feel like eating. i just really want to drink and chug whatever i can within reason. is it safe to just drink and not eat? or what should i do? by the way im 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant.

  • It's your body giving you the signal you are dehydrated. Your stomach is full from drinking.
    As long as you eat something, I'm sure you'll be fine.

  • Ask your doc ASAP about gestational diabetes. It never hurts to have it checked out if you have`nt already.

  • It could be diabetes, or it could be a medication your taking. Sometimes your thirsty and feel hungary. But if your pregnant you need to eat not just drink. Also caffene can be dehydrating you need to drink water not caffenated drinks. If you don't eat the baby will feed off of your body and that will make you week.

  • but if im hungry then that means im not full from drinking. i know my mom had gestational diabetes when she was pregnant with me and her other 4 kids. so i wander if i have it....?

  • I would drink some water, stay away from salty foods.. and ask to be tested for gestational diabetes.

  • It's easy to get dehydrated, do you know how many ounces you're getting?

    Sips all day long help to keep up the water intake~

    And you do need both hydration and nourishment, of course.
