  • female only, they usually have equipment that is specifically made for women so it fits us better...I am not really tall so that is helpful to me.

  • I guess it all depends on what you feel comfortable with. I personaly would pick a woman's only, but it's up to you. I am sure there are bennifits to both. good luck!

  • I would probably feel more comfortable in a women's only gym, but I used to have a membership to a co-ed gym and did just fine.

  • female only, i would be uncomfortable working out and getting sweaty in front of guys, and usually the guys in the gym are hot. lol

  • I've always worked out in co-ed gyms, I think it depends on the type of co-ed gym. My gym was Gold's, everyone there was concerned with getting/staying fit and healthy, it was a very comfortable environment, and there was a lot of good weight training equipment, and people willing to help you use it correctly. IMO, female gyms have a lot of toning/cardio type equipment, which is fine for some, but I prefer more weight working out. There are a lot of co-ed gyms that I won't be a member of - they are meat markets.
