Would you marry someone that had the same last name as your first name?

Just ran across a name in our system, same first and last name (not a typo), married. That must get confusing! I think at the least I would have kept my maiden name, LOL.

  • No, but it would have been very strange to marry someone with the last name "Joanna". ;)

  • I know a Stacy Stacey. I know her hubby and he is one of the nicest men I've ever met. I'm glad she didn't let the name thing bother her...she's very happy!!

  • If I loved the person, yes. I would porbably just have a nic name.
Growing up, my cousin and I both the same age, had the same name. We were both given nic names or called by our middle names.

  • lots of confusing name combos.... husband and his ex... Sherry and Barry, his dad has same first name and last, kinda... Don Donscheski, how about married couple with SAME name.... Joe and Jo ... my sister and her SIL have same first middle and last name, and I have same first and last name as my MIL....

  • it would be odd but it wouldnt be a deciding factor in our relationship...I might hyphenate my maiden and married name just so there was no confusion when I signed things

  • It makes no difference to me.

  • I would. It wouldn't make a difference since I would keep my maiden name no matter what his name is.
