i was wondering

is it possible my 3 month old baby is teething he has been really cranky and moving his tounge in and out on his gums he hasnt been droling yet but he has only been doing this for about a week

  • Moving his tongue in and out sounds like his tongue-thrust reflex. It's to keep them from ingesting anything harmful. Teething is characterized by drooling

  • my son did all that and drool at 6wks, and still drooling like crazy! so very possible. some babies are born with teeth! All I have to say to that is OUCH!!!

  • Yep. Some babies are born with teeth. Whereas others don't get their first tooth until they're almost 9 months old.
    Every child is different.

  • sounds like teething to me. my dr recommended using a wet frozen washcloth for teeth, but only supervised.

  • I think my 2 1/2 month old is teething.  He started drooling like crazy last week and will throw a fit for no reason and nothing comforts him except massaging his gums.  Then he shuts right up and just stares at you and tries to smile around your finger.  I've been giving him motrin when he's really fussy.  Poor kid.
