Before or after you feed?

Just curious.... do you change your baby's diaper before or after you feed them? I go back and forth. **Please note this is not asking what I should do, just asking what you do**

  • It really depended on when she was wet or dirty. If she was then I would do it before we ate if she wasn't then I wouldn't.

  • when they were newborns i did it before, because they'd wake up hungry and but still be sleepy so by me changing their diaper it would make them more alert. now that they are older i just do it when it needs to be done regardless of when they eat.

  • Most of the time I do it before, especially if she's poopy or if I know she is going to be asleep when she finishes eating.

  • I just changed them when they needed to be changed. I would check the diaper every 30 min when they were awake, so before and after feeding if necessary.

  • I change him before because my son has reflux.. We are supposed to keep him upright as long as possible.

  • It depends....During the day I usually change her after she eats (unless her diaper is dirty)...during the night I change her before I feed. She usually falls asleep at the that is why I switch...Much easier to get her back to sleep at night doing it before.

  • I usually change them after I feed them because the baby normally poops while their eating.

  • When we were using cloth diapers if it was poopie it was changed before, if wet I simply took it off and nursed the naked baby. We were doing elimination communication. If I felt she was going to wee I put a cloth diaper on my lap. She never nursed and peed at the same time though some babies do.
