  • I would say to let your baby stay up if he or she isn't tired. If she or she is tired, I would rock him or her back to sleep. Usually, the less they sleep during the day, the more likely they are to sleep more at night or sleep through the night. Every baby is different, though, just like every adult is different. Sometimes, babies sleep longer during the day if there was a lot of stimulation during the morning or early afternoon. I noticed that our 6-months-old son has longer naps in the late afternoon if I took him out to a store during early afternoon or morning or if he didn't have a nap in the morning.

  • I let her stay up, just for a bit, because in my experience she wont go back to sleep right away because she's had like a 'power nap' but she is soon tired enough to sleep again.

  • If my son was not crying or anything wrong...I would let him lay there for resting time.
