  • I get very few toys. Get something big that you can really use, like a bike, scooter, bean bag chair. I always get clothes, books, socks, undies, shampoo with characters, hair brush, new cover for their bed. You have to get a couple of toys. We have gotten a TV in the playroom, we were going to get in anyway, but we saved it for christmas.

  • Lessons for something they would like to learn~~guitar, gymnastics, karate, Chuck E. Cheese or arcade tokens, make some scrolls to take them to places~~bowling, park, mini golfing or whatever they like, books, bean bag chair, a new bedding set, wall art, a camera and a scrapbook or photo album. You could also start a hopechest for thme~~each year you can give them something to add to their hopechest for when they are older and move out of the house, they'll have stuff~~pots and pans, silverware, dishes, measuring cups~~I will be doing that starting when my kids are in their teens.
