Would you consider walking a mile in someones shoes? Not just anyones shoes, a person you couldn't disagree more with!

I just thought of this, to kind of challenge myself. I know how crappy it feels when people think you are stupid, or not a good parent because you don't believe what they believe, or don't live the way they live. What would it be like to walk a mile in a persons shoes that you disagree with the most....

  • No.. I don't think I would.. The people I disagree with most are bad parents & I wouldn't want to be a bad parent.. even for a second.

  • Absolutely.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wouldn't.

  • I always try those shoes and walk in them to find out how their perspective works.

  • But supermommy, how do you know they are bad parents if you can't experience how they feel for their children? What are they saying that makes them a bad parent to you? Just curious. :)

  • Yes, but short of a Satan Worshiper I can't imagine who it would be...

  • You mean like the show wife swap? Honestly I'm not sure if I could do it.

  • I would because whenever I hypothetically do, I find that I change my mind about the person and become more sympathetic to how they come across.

  • MusicMom.. I see it all the time.. They leave their kids at home and go drinking.. and they are young mothers too! & I've seen them not have custody of their children & do meth.. That just ticks me off! - Great question though! =)
