period question...help please! adult content

ever since i started my period after i had my ds (6 months ago) every time i am about to start my period, i get a yeast infection like 3-5 days before. is this normal? does anyone else have this problem and what can i do about it? i take azo yeast daily; it's for symptoms and prevention. any advice?

  • I've heard it's very normal for women to get yeast infections during their periods and not know it. I went through a time where I got yeast infections right around my period too, 3 in a row. I'm super cautious about using mainstream meds as they usually tend to make the problem worse. I googled what to do naturally and found a folk remedy site that talked about using boric acid to CURE them. I followed the directions and have not gotten another yeast infection. That was 2 years ago. I can't remember the site but this one seems pretty good.

    Boric acid sounds big and bad, but basically just turns into peroxide when exposed to vaginal secretions. I put as much as would fit into empty echinachea capsules and used them as suppositories. Not so fun doing it, but so nice to not have any more yeast infections!
