What are good snack foods for a 1yr old?

I want to offer my daughter snacks inbetween meals instead of milk what would be a good snack to offer her?

  • It's strange that i dont have an answer to that question.....i have a one year old too, and i can not for the life of me remember what i gave my oldest when he was this age!

    We do a lot of cheerios, crackers, cut up fruit, things like that.

  • My daughter's favorite were Cheerios, graham crackers and raisins (we cut them in half). They were very easy to toss in a tupperware and go.

  • Cheerios, Grahm Crackers, 1/2 Juice 1/2 water in a sippy cup, any Cheese rolled up or chopped up, Mini Muffins, a cookie, apple sauce single cups by Dole. Careful with raisins, Don't let her snack unattended. Have fun!

  • Only offer her snacks if she's genuinely hungry. Don't offer her food if she's not hungry, because that can instill bad habits with food. Such as eating when bored, eating just because, eating to surpress feeling/emotion. You really don't want to instill those bad behaviors in her, so don't feed her unless she is hungry.

    If she is genuinely hungry between meals then fruit or veggies are your best choice. Dry cereal such as cheerios is another good choice.
