What else can i do?????

My almost four month old son has had problems with reflux since he was about two weeks old. I thought i'd had it under control for a bit. He was on Zantac, eating rice mixed with formula, and he was doing well. But lately he's been throwing everything back up again. Like everything! I'm at a loss for what to do. I've tried feeding him less more often. I can't feed him a little more more often because by about two hours after he eats he's screaming bloody murder again.

  • Have you considered relactating, donor milk or milk bank milk? I am sorry you are going through the reflux "dance". I hope things get better soon!

  • It started while i was breastfeeding, so i'm not sure if that'd work or not. Plus he was so rough with my nipples he made them bleed, so i'm terrified to try again. :/

  • What about talking to your pediatrician about Prevacid. We put my 2 month old on it after trying zantac. She only went through the throwing up phase temporarily, her problem was grunting and acting uncomfortable. Have you tried switching formulas? I don't know anything about formula but maybe your ped would suggest a different formula. Hang in there because although it seems far off, they do outgrow it. My 5 month old still occasionally threws up the entire contents of her stomach. Make sure though your baby is not getting dehydrated
