What makes you happy in the day to day?

I don't mean the bigger picture, like kids, family, health, etc. I mean, specific little things that give you joy in the tedium of life.

  • Coffee...the taste and smell of it first thing in the morning.
A good book that touches my heart and soul or stimulates my senses.
Butterflies. :) I feel God's breath nearby when a beautiful butterfly lands near me and I just revel in its beauty.
Architecture. The styles and creations made by man since mankind began to build. So awesome! So ingenious!
Getting a letter from my dearest friend. We send hand-written letters to each other as often as we can. :)
The smell of my hair and skin after I have dried from a shower. Untainted by time, cloth, or fresh and lovely. Makes me imagine that I am beautiful.
Rubbing hand lotion into the backs of my hands and dreaming of my Grammy's old, softened hands.
The sound of the wind in the trees or the sound of snow falling when the rest of the world is quiet.
