Is a shower scrubbie an intimate item?

This is not a sex question, so get your mind right off that. In our house we each have our own shower scrubbie -- those net poufy twisted balls on a string for use with shower gel. I consider these intimate, like a toothbrush, something people don't share. But the other day (after hosting many guests) it occurred to me, "Does everyone think that way?" Or do some people think these are used by whoever is in the shower at that moment? Please, please tell me no one thinks these are shared because I didn't remove them! No, really, give me your honest answer.

  • No, in my house we don't share them, lol. And, if a guest showered in my bathroom, I would probably pitch the ones I have and buy more, just in case!

  • My husband and I don't even share our shower scrubbies. I do not think they should be shared, it's the same thing as sharing a washcloth with someone.

  • I wouldn't share them, but I would assume that the guests using the shower very well may have used them. Not everyone thinks the same.

  • They're only a buck or two - go get a new one!

But no, I wouldn't use someone else's! Yuck!

  • I share them with family. My husband and I only have one. My kids use it when they use our bath. They like that loofahs make lots of bubbles. I wouldn't use a strangers, but I'd use my sister's or my brother's.

  • We all have our own. My two littlest kids usually share one though...but hey they're 4 & 5 so its not that big a deal. I catch them using each other toothbrush sometimes too (which I do discourage btw! lol) I wouldn't use someone elses outside the family at all.

  • I dont share mine with my husband.....and I've never thought about guests..but I have always looked at those as a personal item...mine is mine..and I wouldn't use someone elses

  • We all have our own, and I have thrown mine away because someone else used it. My husband and I will share one if we have to, but for the most part he just uses his and I use mine. The kids each have one of their own, also, and do not share with anyone else. These, to me, are intimate items.
