Bunch of apples ?

We went apple picking last weekend and i Have a whole bag of apples left over .. what can i make thats simple and quick?

  • Put sliced apples in a crock pot with some water, cinnamon and nutmeg, and when they're almost cooked add in a bunch of graham cracker crumbs.

  • Apple sauce, taffy apple salad, waldorf salad, pie, crisps. For an easy crock pot applesauce...peel and cube apples, put in crockpot, with about 1/2 cup water, cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg and let cook for atleast 3 hours. Stir occasionally.

  • Took me a while to find this recipe (I misplaced it), but it's so good:

    Lazy Apple Pie
    Fill a 9" pie plate with sliced, peeled apples. Add sugar to taste - 1/2 to 3/4 cups. Then add cinnamon 1/2 to 1 tsp.

    Mix in a small bowl:
    1 egg
    1/2 c sugar
    4 T melted butter
    3/4 c flour
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 c chopped walnuts

    Spread over the apples and bake 350 for 50 mins until lightly brown.

    This works so well with other fruits too. I had a delicious success with blueberries and mangoes once.

  • Sauce - peel, core, put in a big pot, add just a little water and cinnamon if you want, and cook til apples are soft. Run a potato masher through for chunky or immersion blender for smooth, and stir in sugar. Cool, put in bags or containers, and freeze for winter. Yum.
