  • My kids do their homework after we get home. I will sit and help whoever might need it. They often will work right up to dinner and sometimes afterwards. After dinner they take showers and practice piano.

  • After school

  • Both it depends on the evening. After school is better because then he can just play until bedtime and we don't end up taking too long and going past bed time. He will get it done if its for play but take forever if its time for bed.

  • We always had homework time right after supper. I wanted the kids to have a break when they got home from school so it worked best for them to do homework later on.

  • My kids generally don't have homework. My older son he's 16 does it as his leisure, he's a straight A student and I put all responsbility on him to get his work done and handed in on time.
My younger son in the 6th grade never has home work, which from reading q/a and posts around here seems a little strange but his teacher doesn't believe in homework. Nice for him and me.
When they were little though, I had them do it when I was making dinner at the table. This way I could help and just make sure it was getting down. It was mainly spelling words.
