Cradle cap at 4?

My dd keeps getting cradle cap, even though she's 4. I've tried everything from dandruff shampoo to tea tree oil, and it still comes back. Any hints?

  • Yup! my niece still gets it - she's 10, but they call it something else now she's older.
My sister had to change doctors in order to get her something for it, but there is a prescription you can get to get rid of it, I think it's a shampoo, but I forget.

  • Call your Pediatrician. Not normal.

  • Go to the Dr. and get a prescription shampoo

  • I have shown it to my doctor. Her reaction was that it was normal. She recommended I put baby oil on it, the let it sit for awhile before removing it with an infant hairbrush. I did this so many times now and it keeps coming back, but she keeps telling me that I just have to do that. I didn't even know there were prescription shampoos. I will ask! Thanks
