I went with my family to a small cafeteria style breakfast one day. I asked the cook behind the bar (his name tag said Sparky) if the hashbrowns were frozen. He said "No, dem ter are cooked." My kids looked at me and when we got to the table they just roared.

  • Anon, I did not say anything about you insulting me.
    I was asking if they were the frozen kind or if they were made fresh at the diner. The funny part was that he thought I was asking if they were still frozen. It was obvious that they were not frozen at that point. They were either on the grill or the steam table. I do not recall now. My family just thought it was funny that I got told that.
