expensive shampoo for color treated hair??

Do the expensive shampoos work any better than what you can get at walmart or target? I just had a drastic change to my hair and want it to last but don't want to spend much money.

  • IMO, yes depending on the brand you already buy. But Pantene is a VERY good "cheap" choice, if you must go that route. It's one of the best shampoos, however I will not stray away from TIGI's Rockaholic line.

  • all colors will experience fading, some quicker than others. however, if you can find a sulfate-free shampoo, that will help fade less.

  • I use only Aveda products, and have never had an issue with my hair color fading. A few months ago, I traveled and forgot my shampoo/conditioner, so I had to use the hotel stuff. After three days, the dark in my hair faded to an odd color. I'm a believer, I won't ever make that mistake again.

  • Burt's Bees works well to keep your color from fading

  • Burt's Bee's are sell outs. I wouldn't touch their products with a 10 foot pole anymore.
