What homemade soups do you make often?

I just made turkey noodle soup. It came out pretty tasty and it's a great way to use the remains of the turkey carcass. It was a choice of making turkey soup or turkey rice which I sometimes also make with the flavoring from the carcass. I think if I find a great buy on a ham I will make split pea next which everyone here also really enjoys.

  • I make black bean soup a lot. I also do a nice kale and white bean with sausage- it's a Portuguese style soup. DH's fav is tomato bisque.

Many of my soup recipes are there.

  • Vegetable soup, Chicken and noodles, Ham and cabbage stew, white chili (which is made with a chicken stock base instead of tomato, and has more of a soup consistence than chili)

  • Vegetarian split-pea soup. It's an all-around favorite at my house--one of the few things that my picky eaters will agree on and eat without any complaint.
