Does anyone know how to find babysitter just for about 2 hrs

Sometimes I would like a babysitter for about 2 hrs when I go to dr appts. But most babysitters are full time moms who babysit full time(all day long not just for 2 hrs.) Not sure where to look.

  • Try local churches. Many of them have a Mother's Day out program.

  • Oh, you don't have to be a member to take your child there normally.

  • try contacting your local high school and/or colleges. many of them have lists of certified babysitters or are willing to advertise your needs for qualified students who might be willing to help you out (often they charge less than full-time sitters, also). another place to look is online - columbus oh has a baby-sitting service which operates online. potential sitters register, pay for and submit background checks, post references and hours of availability, and moms in need of sitters post their info and when they need a sitter, and the electronic service matches them up.

  • call your local Family connections or DHS office for a list of providers. i run daycare and that is how i got some of the children i watch on occasion. also set up fliers around town, works very good or call any daycare centers and ask if they know any personal people to do this for you.
