Picky toddler eating

hey everyone,
My toddler is starting to get sick of his usual snacks so I wanted to know what everyone else feeds their toddlers so I can get some ideas....He is sooo picky about veggies and fruit and I often hide those in other things like vanilla pudding or cottage cheese...but I just wanted to know what everyone else feeds their toddlers :)

  • My kids are crazy picky, and I finally stopped trying so hard. Let me tell you, it's liberating!! Haha. They probably only eat a few things for snacks - carrots, cheese sticks, apples, popcorn, etc, and I've decided to deal with it for now. At least they eat a decent balance of things. I still serve veggies with dinner, and they're required to eat some of each course. When my kids act bored of their usual snacks, I'll try a new fruit that they haven't had in a while, or I'll get a fun flavor yogurt to mix with fruit. (Banana yogurt with strawberries is a big hit!) GL mama, toddlers sure know exactly what they want, huh? :) lol

  • yeah, my son used to love fruit but not anymore. only watermelon & banana in his cereal.
for snacks latley i give him whole grain crackers plain or with peanut butter, yo kid organic yogurt, oatmeal cookies, goldfish, yogurt raisin snacks, peanut butter toast, things like that.

  • try something new every SINGLE week until you've tried everything in the store. Dips a plenty (various nut butters, hummus, yogurt, ranch, etc)

  • Try getting a muffin tin. Preferably a 12 slot one as opposed to a 6 slot one.
    Fill it with the following
3 things you know she will eat for sure
3 dips (hummus, nut butter, yogurt, etc)
3 things you know she DOESN'T like
3 things she has never never never had before

  • I feed mine string cheese and yogurt, muffins, bananas, whatever I have. She'll either take it or leave it. I give here pediasure to make sure she's getting good nutrition, so I don't worry about her being picky right now.
