How much formula does your ONE month old drink and how often?

I have a one month old and he has been drinking 3 oz every 3 hours..but lately he has been wanting to eat about every 2-2 1/2 hours. He seems hungry. Just wondering if it would be ok already to give him 4 oz now. What do you guys do??

  • I started out with 4oz every 4 hours with my son then it went up to 5 or 6 every four hours when he was about a month or so old. But yeah if he is getting hungry before normal then try adding a little more. If he dosnt finish all of it then dont worry about it but if this is what is going on then he should. Good luck!

  • my 1 month old eats 6-8oz every 2-4 hours. I know seems like a lot but he is the size of a normal 3 month old. He's already 11.5lbs was 9lbs 7oz at birth. I would say you are fine giving him a little more. If he is hungry let the growin boy eat.
