  • Always, always, always. If he is outside of our doors, he is either on his lead or on his leash. I don't want him running off after a stray bird or squirrel or possum or skunk or anything.

  • I have to keep a lead on 2 of them, ones old and can't hear, and she will just keep sniffing and walking, the other is a Husky and LOVES to run... Our other one can go out with out a lead, he listens, and stays close... We live out in the country so I don't take them to parks etc.. We have a big yard so that's where they get to have their exercise.

  • We have to. Our dog is almost 9 years old but still has the energy of a puppy whenever we take him outside. He'd take off down the street.

  • with both my female dogs i have to keep them on a leash or they will run off, with my male dog, i don't have to b/c he listens and dosen't run off but i put a leash on him anyway b/c he is a hound and you never know when he'll catch a scent

  • Our older dog heels well and does not need a leash. The younger one has a high prey drive and will take off after anything that moves so we have to leash him.
