Can you make jam from frozen berries?

We were given 10 pints of raspberries last night. I would love to make jam from them, but I don't have the money to get the stuff to make it for another couple of weeks. I don't want the berries to go bad, so can I freeze them, then make the jam?

  • Definitely - I do it every year. Over half my jam is made from frozen fruit and it comes out wonderfully every time. I actually prefer to use frozen fruit - it seems to thicken up better for some odd reason.
