What are some of the worst names people have suggested to you?

Maybe before you were pregnant, while you were pregnant or even after.

Some people love to say "you should've named you kid this..!" I know I got that a lot during pregnancy and after I had my daughter.

  • Mary. Not because I don't like the name, but because my MIL nagged me about it. It was her mother's name.

  • Our families tried to insist we use a "family" name such as one of our fathers or grandfathers. I said no simply because I didn't think we needed *ANOTHER* Richard or Francisco in the family to make conversations even MORE confusing!

  • My mother in law suggested Kanika Kashawn. It's the name she had lined up if my husband had turned out a girl. He's very happy to be a Charles. Chuck suits him very well.

  • Since we decided not to make DS2 (DH's firstborn) a "third" (DH is a junior) we stuck with keeping the initials (JWL). When we got prego w/ DS3, he wanted to continue that, but shot down every suggestion I had (Jayson Wyatt, Jeremy Wade, etc) and his suggestion was..... Jebidiah Waylon. HA!!! So we have Benjamin... named after my deceased uncle who died a year before he was born.
