The most recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows Clinton to be a lot more popular than Obama, even though they have such similar policies.
Excerpts from article by TIMOTHY A. CLARY
Here's a fun fact from the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll: Bill Clinton is the most popular political figure in the country. The former president, who never won an outright majority of the popular vote and was impeached by Congress, enjoys a 55–23 favorable/unfavorable rating. Clinton left office with an approval rating of 68 percent according to the CBS poll at the time, so his continuing popularity is not surprising.
But here's the interesting contradiction: Clinton has not disappeared from the national scene since 2001. He has been active and vocal—not only on philanthropic efforts but in political activism. His annual Clinton Global Initiative addresses climate change, education, and women's rights, among other liberal priorities.

Better economy...changes peoples' perception. Slick Willie was smooth. He is a good communicator, and a great BSer. Probably fun at a party too. The Clintons are prototypical politicians. Heck they didn't even own a home until after 2000-

This country had issues before he was even in office. But he gave people false hope and made them think he was going to do better, in which he didn't... We got change all right.
. Come on- do adults really believe A person with the help of An admin. can make those kind of changes within 2 short years? Really? This thinking is what scares the crap at of me- SO MANY Americans think politicians are going to FIX all that ails this world, and all their personal problems. NEWSFLASH-those elected in NOV will not cure this country either. You want change, you have to make those changes yourself- live within your means, retrain, move if needed, stop spending money unnecessarily, stop spending $$ that you do not have, sell some of your crap, stop having kids that you can not afford-

Because, in my brothers words "Bill Clinton was the best Republican president in my lifetime."
Besides, Clinton has real charisma. Darrell Hammond, who played him on SNL, said of their meeting that Bill just has this presence, he can get up in your personal space and make you feel good about it.
