at what age did your littleone start putting 2 words together?

I can only remember my 1st born was saying "whats that" at 10 months and then all speech stopped at age 2.
Then the other 3 kids I can't recall anything.

  • Under one year. I don't remember exactly, but, before he turned one. By 18 months, it was big sentences and by 2 it was paragraphs/convos.

  • Mine stuck to one word sentences probably till he was about 21 months, and then all of a sudden he started coming out with full sentences. He never really did the two word sentences, just went straight to full on ones. The first one I can remember him saying is "I don't like that", heh.

My mom says I was the same way though, from pretty much silent to entire conversations.

  • She was somewhere between a year and a year and a half. I'm not sure exactly when it was, though, because it was really hard to tell for a while if she was just babbling or actually putting words together. She'll be two Friday and she says some 3 word combinations now.

  • My son started at about 1.5 with putting two words together. He's just two and it's a lot more frequent and he mimicks everything. My Daughter is 11 months and only says "Dadda".

  • My first used single words until about 2.5 and then started talking in full sentences. My 18 month old is still using single words.
