  • Yes; I have done it. The half gallons tend to do better because they don't tend to bloat up (change shape) and freeze/ thaw faster.

  • My sister does this ALL the time, and it lasts up to a week I believe.

  • I don't use a lot of milk but it's still cheaper to buy by the gallon. I put it in quart size freezer bags and thaw and use as needed. It's a great idea. My sister told me about it earlier this year and it's been the best tip I've had in a long time.
