1 Bump

Something is wrong with my baby.

She's fifteen months old, and has just started freaking out when she falls asleep. Every time, she wakes up screaming. Any ideas?

she's inconsolable right now?

  • nightmares. my daughter did that once and i kid you not she would not sleep in her room for like 3 months. that is around the age where they get nightmares. try to console her and tell her everything is okay. even if you let her stay awake for a little while to calm down. try to put her back in her bed in a little while ago but if she won't i HIGHLY recommend you at least going to sleep with her in her room- on the floor wherever. i went through a tough SLOW process of getting my daughter back in her room.

  • What exactly happens if you don't mind telling me details please? Is it right after she falls asleep? Does her whole body jerk? Is it as she is falling asleep?

  • Yeah, she stiffens like a little board, tosses her head around, and yells like a little banchee. She will stay asleep most times if I hold her or she's sleeping with us, but even then, she'll still wake up.

Now, last night, right after she woke up, she through a huge temper tantrum because I wouldn't let her nurse and pull my hair. She was mad as hell. Do you think it's separation anxiety and she's mad at me for putting her down?
