  • We paid off our mortgage and have no car payments, just a couple of credit cards. $7000 would pay thos off. Our monthly bills come to about $1099 not including groceries or incidental purchases, so I'd think about $1600 - $1800 a month would let us live comfortably.

  • Our debt is probably only about $5000. We need about $2000 a month to live comfortably; we don't need much :)

  • Depends what you would consider comfortable. Comfortable to me is having a home, no debt, and being able to save money for college, retirement, ect, and be able to take a nice vacation every year. In that case.... I would need to make about $100,000 a year or more but I also live in a very expensive state.

Luckily, DH and I WILL see that amount in our life time.

  • If we could get back to making $85000 a year, I think we would be much more comfortable. (Combined income)

  • I'd say about 7-8k a month (combined)... Once my fiance is finished with school, we should be able to easily make that (fingers crossed).

  • Our true debt could be covered with 15,000 dollars. We would need to make at least 3,000 a month to live comfortably where we are and not move. We are making about 2,000 now.

  • to get us out of debt totally (no hoe payment car payment etc) and get things fixed up the way we want here $150000 would more than cover it and we could easily live on 2500-3000 a month comfortably after that

  • AFTER paying off school loans to the tune of 20k We only need 2,000 to pay rent and ALL bills!! so 2,500 would allow us wiggle room and entertainment money!!! Im sure that sounds like peon amounts to people in like Cali or NY....

  • Well I have a house and carpayment now. THat being said...we live fine off 4,000/month. I work but my paycheck gets put into savings every month.
