Pregnant or not so much?

When I started my last pack of birth control I started a 14 day course of antibiotics, I missed my last two active pills and am a week late. I did not start a new pack of pills. My boyfriend used the pullout method each time we had sex. I have taken a pregnancy test and it was negative. I'm having symptoms. How likely is it I could be pregnant?

  • It's not very likely. A lot of things can mess your cycle up and illness is one of them.

  • your meds could have affected your BC. This could lead to pregnancy or just a messed up period. Wait a week and test again. If you still don't have your period in a week you may want to opt for a blood test though for a more accurate test.

  • and it's just as likely for it to mess up your cycle as it is for it to mess up your BC and lead to pregnancy. Something a lot more people should be aware of. (it's one of the causes of BC failure, as is not taking them properly or not on time, etc. ).
