  • When I was young, my mom came to school during Hanuka and made latkas for the class and we played the dradle game and my mom read the hanuka story. It made me feel really special and my teachers always took forward to my mom coming every year until I was in high school

  • So you are looking for answers to Chanukah? My DH is Jewish so I've learned the traditions for that. There is the lighting of the Menorah, the meals include fried foods (latkas and donuts) because the celebration is the one of lights, that there was only enough oil to burn in the Temple for one day and by miracle they burned for 8. The dreidle game is fun for kids and small gifts are given for each night. You can look on or to find out more information.
