What do you think of the name

Irving Eugene McAlister. I know it's old fashion but it's our grandfathers names.

  • If you are into the old fashioned names, that would be great. However, I would switch the Irving and Eugene around that way you can call him Gene. But, that's just me.

  • I don't like it.
Sure, Irving has the letter's "VIN" in them, but it's not a nickname that makes sense
Do your grandfathers have middle names you could use instead??
Or a variation of then name.... if DH wants Vin... Irving comes from the name Irvin... which would make much more sense with the nn Vin or Vinny

I think Irvin "Vin" Gene McAlister would be better

  • Naming your baby after loved ones is sweet. Do what you feel is right. My son's middle name is Eugene.
