  • No... She doesn't need anything other than breastmilk for a while yet... She will be eating food soon enough.

  • The AAP and all other Health organizations say ONLY breastmlk for the first 6 months. There are lots of benefits to waiting, but only risks for starting earlier, so why no just wait? Check out the info at Why Delay Solids?

Delaying solids gives baby greater protection from illness.

Delaying solids helps to protect baby from iron-deficiency anemia.

Delaying solids helps to protect baby from future obesity.

  • I would not. I would recommend nothing other then the breast milk until at least 6 months. Keep in mind that you CAN wait longer then 6mos, and when you DO start, you don't HAVE to use cereal. Avocado, banana and sweet potato are GREAT starter foods, as are other fruits and veggies.

  • No not yet. Her body cannot digest it properly and it really has no nutritional value.

Its a waste, just be patient. 2 months will fly by.

  • Maybe you should learn to type first. That upper case/lower case makes your posts hard to read.

  • I wouldn't. Your family can have their own babies if they want to raise a baby. You raise your baby the way you feel is best.
