is 4 months old too young to start daycare?

  • Just because or so you can work? I think it is to early for social purposes only but if you need to go back to work then it is not to early. Most daycare's start at 6 weeks.

  • yes, i think before a year. But that is my opinion. They need so much attention before then. If you need a sitter I would look for a private sitter rather than day care.

  • I think so, but then again, I would never take my child to daycare unless I had to(no offense to anyone, it's just a person preference). If you have no choice, don't feel bad about it. I know there are definitely babies younger than that at day cares.

  • No it isn't. Most daycares take children as young as 6 weeks. If you have to work, you have to work.

    but if you don't -- I say 6 months and up...

  • I had kids in my class at 4 weeks old. I prefer no kid to have to go to daycare or any care before 3, but, that is just what I would prefer.
