  • I think of both as girl names. I prefer Emerson as the spelling.

  • I've only met males with those names. Carol, Lesley, Marion were all male names originally.

  • My cousins name is Emory and he's a boy but i'v heard it used as a girls name to its one of those gender neutral names.
