Fun and inexpensive activities for kids?

We love to go on field trips, especially this time of year. We have been to the parks in town quite a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions for fun but inexpensive (and educational) activities for kids?

  • take em for an ice cream or to like a doughnut shop and get em a good treat or take a picnic to the park and let them fix the lunch with u , but let them do the work so they can be proud of the lunch they made. Go for a bike ride , or pumpkin patch i just took my son and it was like 7 bucks for me to get in and he was free children under 2 were free there. Make some orange and black rice crispie treats and again let them go it u just kinda do the stove part to melt the butter and mellows. U can also go to the library and they have reading groups . or print out some coloring pages online or halloween activities to keep up with the holidays.. theres tons .. good luck

  • u can also premake some christmas presents .. kinda have the kids handmake dad or grasndma/pa a gift and most kids are verry proud of themselves and its good for them to explore and decorate things with there own personal style and ideas. carve pumpkins at the park its nice outdoors now. go feed ducks or to the zoo or movies during the day at the theater is cheaper than the night ..or u could thak em and have a neighbor cleanup and have them pick up trash and recycle other.. they can learn how to recycle and keep our planet clean. also u can get jumbo chalk athe dollar store and go out on the sidewalk and have a drawing day and let them vote to see whos the best pic and have a small prize for th winner , apple bobbing is fun this time of year also .. wow i dont know what came over me but i just suddenly got a ton of ideas lol or a pupet show .. make own pupet and let the kids write a little play!!
