Do you talk trash about inmates like they aren't people? Like they are all scum?

Are Johnny Cash, Tim Allen, Willy Nelson, Martha Stewart, Steve Madden, Darryl Strawberry, Oscar Wilde, Merle Haggard etc etc etc. all scum too? Are they all bad people. We know these people beacause there are many likeable traits to them. So why is it fair to put down human beings for breaking the law, like they don't have any good qualities? I'M NOT SAYING ALL LAWBREAKERS ARE SWEET CUDDLY PEOPLE.......just real people. There are many people who payed their debt to society, and have changed their lives, and become producive members of our society. But we are so busy focusing on whats wrong we fail to see the good that can happen.

  • Though there is a lot of scum out there I always want the whole story first and believe the system is very F^@&*d up and that a lot of mistakes are made and a lot of innocent people are locked away.....

  • I think murder can sometimes be justified though. If someone ever touched my kids you better believe I wouldn't have any peoblem going to prison for killing them!

  • I think these are all good people with beautiful souls, who made a mistake, did their time, and thats it! I'm sure there are lots of people out there that we will never hear of . We hear more about the rapists and the killers. Not the people who made better of themselves after their crimes. I think it gave Johnny Cash more character, and gave Martha Stewart even more celebrity. I'm glad they aren't broke and living off the state and being productive.

  • My ex beat the crap out of me, got a felony conviction for it and served hard jail time. He was out in less then a year with a felony conviction. He got his job back, he got his good standing back with his friends, with his co-workers,,oh the poor guy,,,yeah lets just cut him a break. No,,Im not talking about any of the people you mentioned here,,,but I am talking about an abuser that society just wrapped their arms back around when he was released from prison. Does that sound fair to you,,,,for my kids and I?
