  • Yikes..I did lose one after my son was born but that was from a botched root canal that had abscessed.

  • Nope- that is an old wives tale.
While I am 6 missing teeth-- it is congenital and passed on in my dad's family-- and it was diagnosed when I was a child-- long before I ever thought about having kids.

  • If that took me 14 years to lose one.

  • It's only true for women who have terrible oral hygene and horrible diets. Breastfeeding actually increases bone density and tooth strength (after you're done nursing... bone density and tooth strength actually decline slightly during lactation and then increase to above pre-lactation status after weaning... incredible, huh?)

  • My mom did, but she could not afford prenatals or to eat very well. She only has her front teeth and a couple in the back, the others are gone.
I have not lost any teeth as a result of pregnancy or even any as an adult.
