I need help keeping my 2-yr-old in his carseat belt

Hi! I don't know how to keep my 2-yr-old son to keep his arms inside his carseat belt. Any suggestions would be so helpful. Thank you!

  • You need to tighten the harness so he can't get his arms inside it. I think that you might have the straps too loose.

  • Sounds like the straps are too loose which is almost as dangerous in an accident as not have the child in a car seat to begin with, Any firedepartment can show you how to secure your child in his car seat and how tight or snug the harness should be.

  • No, his straps aren't too loose, he just knows how to slide the chest clip down so that he has more room to get his arms worked out.
