  • Read this:  "To begin, peeling skin in a newborn is perfectly normal, common and it is no cause for concern. So, why do some newborn babies have peeling skin? There are a number of reasons. First, remember that your newborn baby has been floating happily around in a watery environment for nine months, so that the change from living in amniotic fluid to the much drier air that he or she is now living in is bound to cause a bit of peeling as your babies skin adjusts to it's new, dry, environment."

  • yes, use lots of lotion, it's still the new skin trying to come through! Rub it with a washcloth during bathtime! Small circles work best! GL
