Not Going The Extra Mile?

I have my mother and my husband telling me to just forget about building a pinata for our six-year-old's birthday party. I usually do build super-awesome pinatas that are WAY over the top (six-foot-long shark, cantilevered multi-point spiderweb with spiders, zombie complete with red streamer "guts", you get the idea, they're insane). Okay, I'll admit that I'm pregnant, exhausted and overworked at this point for my energy levels, but I don't want to wuss out and disappoint my daughter. Thoughts? Opinions? Snide remarks?

  • Buy a super awesome one this year and tell her you'll build a super duper awesome one next year when you're not pregnant. No sense in over exerting yourself.
