  • Everyone will probably have a different opinion on this but I guess it depends on the baby. If he/she rolls around a lot probably not a good idea. But my daughters both slept with full size pillows in there cribs. They slept better being a little elevated.

  • Don't know about those little baby pillows (I never trusted those things), but my daughter used a firm, regular sized pillow before her first birthday. She had neck control and could get up and quite simply wouldn't sleep without it.
I even asked her doc, who said it was fine :)

  • I am not sure I would use a baby pillow but a big pillow would be fine as long as he can move his head around on his own and all that.

  • my daughter has been sleeping with a pillow since she was about 22 months, I didn't give her one before then although it probably would have been fine. I don't know what a 'baby pillow' is but I chose not to use a full size pillow, instead I made a soft but not too thick pillow myself that is about 15 inches x 11 inches. She loves it, it's just her size. I actually made it for my rocking chair for my back but she adopted it and started sleeping with it so... it's hers now.

  • My younger 3 kids all got pillows around their 1st birthdays. They always confiscated one of our older squished down pillows at some point. My middle daughter used (and still does use) a travel pillow that we bought for in the car. She refuses to upgrade to a regular pillow because she loves her "baby pillow" as she calls it. She'll be 6 in 2 weeks. She's kind of nutty.
