Has your 4 year old ever been diagnosed with thyroid problems or anemia??

I took my 4 year old to the dr today and she's really concerned about her weight. She's STILL only 30.7lbs...she goes between 29 and 30 lbs. The dr drew blood to check for thyroid problems and see if she's anemic. She also told me to give her pediasure 3x a day for 6 months!

  • I know how you feel completely! My daughter just turned 5, & is 30 pds.we have been having problems w/ her since she was born, but she is a preemie. Her doctor put her on the pediasure as well. I suggest go to wic, becuase they have a dietitian there, or even have your doctor can suggest one. They also told me have her drink Carnation instant breakfast essentials. It's powder, like pedisure and has tons of vitamins. But I hope your doctor can help you & I'm wondering w/they find out! I wish you all the luck!

  • no, but I have anemia. Try to give her foods with lots of iron in them should help that problem.
