Those ab muscles got stretched waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out ;-). Don't beat yourself up, it takes a while for the elasticity and strength to come out. Core workouts are best, so if you were already a runner, by all means, keep running, but walking can give you the same benefits. Also, Yoga and Pilates will work those core abdominals--ALL of them. Flat tummies also have to do with your diet, so lean protein, whole grains, veggies and WATER. Good luck!
