Thinking Ahead?

Looking for good ideas to send to my son who is in the Air Force and will still be on deployment to Afghanistan during the holidays. What are some items I can place in his box besides the usual traditional stuff we moms put in their care packages? Thank you in advance for your suggestions/comments.

  • When my son was in the Marines, I use to send him envelopes stamped and addressed to me, also some extra in case he wanted to write others.

  • You need to find out what he can't have then work from there. Send him something meaningful, something he enjoys. Maybe an mp3 for his quiet times with his favorite music on it.

  • Find out what they do and do not allow. Books are good for down time so are magazines, copies of the local newspaper.
